Project Manager / Estimator -

Superior Aluminum Products is a respected manufacturer of custom aluminum railings, fence, and columns sold across North America. As a result of continued success with our current growth strategies, we are expanding the team with an additional full-time Project Manager/Estimator. This position will coordinate product installations with our installer network and perform takeoffs to be utilized by our sales team. The standard work week is Monday-Friday and consists of 40-45 hours. 

Education Level: Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating production and project schedules for our installer network
  • Balancing multiple projects and requests from different sources
  • Communicating with architects, contractors, and other customers on production drawings and revisions
  • Providing accurate takeoffs from construction drawings for use by the sales team
  • Utilizing Excel forms to organize data
  • Utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics
  • Reading architectural blue prints
  • Maintaining an organized file system

Experience Required:

  • Experience in reading construction drawings and cut details
  • Fluent with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with takeoff software PlanSwift is a plus 
  • Strong proficiency in math through trigonometry
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Excellent organizational skills

Team Lead Railing Cutting & Assembly -

Superior Aluminum Products in Russia, Ohio is seeking motivated individuals to lead a small team of Railing Assemblers to calculate, cut, and assemble aluminum extrusion railing systems per engineering drawings.  Ideal applicants would have strong communication and leadership skills, be proficient in simple mathematics that involve fractional numbers and varying addition and subtraction formulas, have the ability to read 2D and 3D CAD prints, and be comfortable with the operation of radial arm saws and chop miter saws.  On-the-job training will be provided over the course of several months.  Opportunities for promotion and advancement may be available for those that excel in this role.

Education Level: High School Diploma

Experience/Certification Required:

Prior experience in these areas is preferred, though not required if previous employment positions have included comparable responsibilities.  Must bring a positive attitude and solution focused mindset that will integrate well with a company culture of respect for others, collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement.

CAD Designer - Solidworks

Our engineering team is currently in need of one entry-level CAD Designer interested in work where almost every project is different. The standard work week is Monday through Friday and consists of 40-45 hours.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Working with Solidworks software to design railing and fence projects for both commercial and residential applications.
  • Communicating with architects, contractors and other customers on production drawings and revisions.
  • Utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics during the drawing process.
  • Reading architectural blue prints.
  • Drawing finished designs from customer sketches.
  • Maintaining an organized file system for production drawings.

Career Level: Mid-Level

Education Level: High School Diploma

Experience/Certification Required:

  • Completion of associate or bachelor degree. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong proficiency in math through trigonometry. 
  • Experience with Solidworks software.

Light-Duty Flex-Time Production Work – 

Superior has a need for part-time, 1st-shift associates to join our team. This would be ideal for senior citizens, recent retirees, and caretakers both female and male. 

We offer a flexible schedule during our standard work week, Monday-Friday from 6:30 am-4:00 pm.  Work the hours or the days you want and we’ll adjust to your schedule. Our shop is a very clean production environment and we are a family-owned business with approximately 60+ employees.

Experience/Certification Required:

Depending on the applicant, job responsibilities may include:

  • Working with hand tools, including cordless screwdrivers, staple guns, utility knives, etc.
  • Assembling and cleaning railing
  • Making cardboard boxes
  • Filling parts orders
  • Sitting at a small punch press
  • Sitting at a drill press
